Lazy, Stupid, and Impotent Christians.
Brothers and Sisters in the faith:
You're lazy, you're stupid and you're impotent.Just wanted to make sure you read that.
There has been, even in traditionalist circles, a certain blasé attitude towards one's own faith. We say we will read good literature, how many of us follow through? We say we will begin a workout routine, or maybe just really focus on getting ourselves together in some other way, yet we never follow through. We say will fight the devil and avoid the temptation of sin. I believe the words my catholic friends will remember are "I firmly resolve, with the help of Your grace,
to do penance, and to amend my life."? Yet we continue participating in the same damnable sins week after week. Why have we not fixed these things?
It's because you're lazy, you're stupid and you're impotent.
If you're mad at me for saying it, you're a beta too
So what can we do to change this? what option do we have to change the course of our lives? God has already given us this answer in scripture:
"Iron sharpens iron,
and one man sharpens another." -Proverbs 27:17
6 Brothers, if someone is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual should restore such a person with a gentle spirit, watching out for yourselves so you also won’t be tempted. 2 Carry one another’s burdens; in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.-Galatians 6:1-2
No one has greater love than this, that someone would lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13
If then there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, 2 fulfill my joy by thinking the same way, having the same love, sharing the same feelings, focusing on one goal. 3 Do nothing out of rivalry or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. 4 Everyone should look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:1-4
Brother, you were not made to work alone
You were made to serve along side your brothers and sisters in the church. you are to take on their burdens and share your own. This has always been the design of God. Do not allow pride or despair to deprive you of what God has given you freely, and do not deprive your spiritual siblings the help that they need. As people who worship the one true God, we should be one people. Even if non-sense tries to divide us, we must never separate ourselves from the love of God or our family in Christ. If we ever want to unify and see the nations subject to Holy God, we must first come to the aid of our brothers (1 John 4:20).
Go meet with the people of God in your neighborhood. You have work to do.
Ave Christus, Rex Regum et Dominus Dominantium
